Prior to founding First Pitch Public Relations, Harris worked as the Sports Information Director at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, overseeing the publicity efforts for the university’s 16 intercollegiate sports. Harris previously spent seven years at Texas Christian University as the Associate Director of Athletics Media Relations. Prior to his appointment at TCU, Harris gained public relations experience with the Kansas City Wizards of Major League Soccer. He also served as a media relations intern for the Kansas City Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Harris, a native of Peosta, Iowa, graduated from Iowa State University in 1998 with a double major in journalism/mass communication and political science. Harris resides in Fort Worth with his wife, Rachel, and their children: Grant, Ben and Gracie.
